SPEAKER SUBMITTAL GUIDELINES

Speaker Registration Form
• All speakers are required to complete the speaker registration form in its entirety to be considered in the review process.
Speaker Bio / Photo
• Please submit your bio in Microsoft Word format, between 100-200 words.
• Please submit the best quality portrait available. Preferred image requirements are: 300 dpi, minimum size 1″x 1.5″, JPEG format. Please note: Photos taken from your website or with a screen capture tool (i.e. Greenshot) are generally not usable or will result in poor print quality.
Speaker Presentations (PLEASE THOROUGHLY READ)
• Speakers must provide a presentation title and description including 3-4 bullet points of what attendees will learn. (Up to 100 words.)
• The 3-4 learning points are required as they are used to submit for continuing education credits.
• Presentations MUST BE 60 minutes in length in order for the attendees to received continuing education credits.
• Speakers are strongly encouraged to share their presentation to IEC electronically as a .ppt or .pptx file and agree to posting as PDF handouts to the secure and password protected, IEC website. We will post materials online (password protected) in advance of the conference for attendees to download and print.
• A link will be sent out a couple weeks prior to the presentation due date inviting you to upload your .ppt file. Please name your file with the presenter’s last name and first initial (e.g., Doe J.) and your session name.
• REMINDER: Speakers shall NOT present a session that is designed to sell or promote their business or product.
Speaker Selection
• All speakers who completed the Speaker Registration Form in its entirety will be notified of our decision by the deadline indicated above under Important Dates.

Directions
Conference Registration
• Please check in at the registration table 30 minutes prior to your schedule time. You will receive a name badge and directions on where your session will be located.
• As a speaker you are welcome to attend any or all sessions.
• We have secured the “Grandquist Room” near the registration booth for you to prepare for your presentation.
Speaker Presentations (PLEASE THOROUGHLY READ)
• Be sure to bring an electronic backup of all PowerPoint presentations, handouts, and materials on a flash drive to the conference.
• Presentations MUST BE 60 minutes in length in order for the attendees to received continuing education credits.
• If you plan on playing video during your session, we recommend you bring your own laptop with the video embedded in your presentation. We also recommend downloading the video and storing it to your laptop. Again, please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your session to allow ample time to set your computer up. We advise not to rely on internet at the Prairie Meadows as it’s an open network and we can’t guarantee a solid connection.

Audiovisual Information
• A computer, projector, screen, lectern, and microphone are provided in each room. All other equipment like flip carts and marker boards are the responsibility of the speaker.
• Speakers may bring their own laptops or Macs, as well. The venue will provide an HDMI cable to connect into. If your device does not have an HDMI port, your will need to bring an adaptor that will connect their device to an HDMI cable.
• Mac Users: Please note that if a speaker intends to use a Mac, the speaker is responsible for bringing any needed unique cords or cables to connect with the other equipment.
• There will be audiovisual assistance throughout the conference.

• You are responsible for your own hotel reservations and travel expenses.
