Who We Are
Meals from the Heartland is a nonprofit 501 (C)(3) organization that relies on thousands of generous volunteers, corporate sponsors and community partners to help us feed the hungry. Since 2008, together through prayer, volunteer service and financial gifts, we have provided over 200 million meals for children facing food insecurity here in Iowa, across the United States and around the world.

What makes Meals from the Heartland unique is its volunteer engagement effort. Thousands of volunteers from businesses, schools, churches and community organizations all come together to be serving hands that package nutritious meals sent directly to locations where people are undernourished or quite literally, starving. This unique packaging experience is not only enjoyable but also rewarding. When you volunteer individually, or financially sponsor a packaging event, you are helping us make a meaningful difference to fight hunger and provide new hope for those in need.
